Ok, it’s actually the fifth of July now, but X never wrote any good songs about that day. Oh, and something about the Declaration Of Independence had to do with yesterday, too… 😉

But seriously; I’m just now getting around to putting up the pics. It was low-key; we just went up to the local high-school, which is where our local fireworks extravaganza is held each year. Kinda surprised they didn’t even play a single Michael Jackson song with the fireworks.

But hey, Meredith got to get her face painted like a tiger, and Beth and I got the rare privilege of hearing our very own Congresscritter, Tom Price (R-Loonville) quip “freedom’s not free!” Seriously, that was literally the sum of his remarks to the crowd. And yes, we keep re-electing perspicacity and insight of THAT caliber to Congress every two years. Go figure. Personally, I’d have much rather heard “Beat It,” or even “Bad,” but anyway, the fireworks were nice.
